Clothing Drive
Local company and organizations’ Clothing Drives can help Via of the Lehigh Valley raise money to support programs for children and adults with disabilities living in our community.
Via’s Clothing Drive Program is designed to benefit programs for children and adults with disabilities living in our community. It also serves as a connection between the community and our organization which is vital in the day-to-day operation of Via.
The goals are:
- Raise funds for Via Children’s Services.
- Educate your employees or members of the importance of Via’s role in the community and how their support benefits people with disabilities.
- Encourage every employee or member to fill and return a ten pound bag of unwanted clothing that will go directly to Via Thrift Stores, community based stores that benefit Via’s programs.
How a Clothing Drive Works
Your company, school or organization collects bagged items at your location. Items are picked up daily by Via of the Lehigh Valley.
With your organization or company’s permission, Via can also help you use your intranet or inside communication network to educate your members or employees about Via’s services and the Clothing Drive program. We will inform your employees of how their clothing donation will affect our programs and what their donation means to a child or adult with a disability. Via will also provide a link where employees can pledge money to support Via’s programs. Via will monitor and report progress on your Clothing Drive progress.
