How You Can Help

DonateMattFor a community, compassion is measured by the people and the manner in which they support all its members. Everyone deserves the chance to succeed and, through the support of our community, Via is able to provide these opportunities to the people we serve.

There are many ways you can help Via of the Lehigh Valley fulfill its mission of providing leadership, support, opportunities and resources for people with disabilities so that they may be independent, productive and enjoy full lives within the community:

Ted

  • Hire people with disabilities in meaningful jobs through Via’s Employment Services.

  • Sponsor a Corporate Clothing Drive at your business.

  • Provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for people in Via’s Community & Volunteer Services program or sponsor scholarships to attend classes, sporting events, or shows.

  • Volunteer at Via Thrift Stores or help manage and work at Via Events

  • Use Via’s Business Services for your business’ production needs.

  • Donate items for sale in Via Thrift Stores.

  • Shop at Via Thrift Stores and become part of the Via Thrift Stores advertising network at your churches, clubs, social groups, etc. by distributing monthly calendars and fliers.
Via’s programs continue to grow and strengthen our ability to fulfill our mission now more than ever. Your gift can make real changes in the lives of the people we serve:
  • You can help provide a real pay check and a job in our community and change the life of a woman who has spent years in a sheltered workshop.

  • You can help a man who has lived with his aging parents, suddenly and wonderfully find a place to live in the community and friends to share his life.

  • You can help children in 15 childcare centers in the Lehigh Valley understand better than their parents that a child with a disability is a friend, just like all their friends.

  • You can bring hope to a mother whose son has been diagnosed with a disability when she hears what Via’s early intervention services can provide for her and her son.

  • You can share the success of a young man achieving his goals of furthering his education beyond high school and pursuing his dreams of a career.
